I've never been good at talking about myself, I know I'm probably going to bore you to death so I apologize in advance...actually, I'd suggest you to move on to the other sections of the website: my pictures might not be works of art, but I'm sure they're more entertaining than a paragraph about me, myself and I! ;)
Ok, here we go: I'm Flavia, 25 years old, born&raised in Rome, and I've just graduated from University. Although I've spent the last few years studying Law, courts, judgements and juridic principles are not my only interests: since I was a child, I've been travelling all over the World, from China to Egypt, from London to Cape Town. This is partly due to the fact that I've always been curious about other cultures and unknown(to me, at least) places, but I also have to give credit to my family, as they've always encouraged me to travel and see the World.
Needless to say that now I can't seem to be able to stay at home for more than a few months. Addicted to travelling, that's what I am.
Let's be clear: Rome is one of the most incredible cities you'll ever see, but once you've felt the excitement of discovering a new place, the feeling of expectation every time you step on a plane, you just can't go back to your daily routine. Coming home after a trip just means getting the opportinuty to reconnect with your roots(I mean, what's better than chatting with your friends&family while bingeing on pizza and pasta?!), marking a new place on the map your bedroom wall, and plan the next trip.
As I had the opportunity to see so many countries at such a young age, I soon started to feel the need to bring back home something else, other than my own memories: I wanted to take pictures that would be able to capture the soul of the places I had seen and of the people I had met, but I was also determined to make my friends and family want to get out there and see the World.
I guess it's safe to say that my passion for photography is a consequence of my love for travelling.
I do not consider myself a professional, and my pictures are in no way perfect or amazing, this website has the only purpose to share my pics with anyone who happens to stumble on this page. I hope you enjoy your stay here!
